my sister, also newly freed, said our mom told her at the annual meeting there was a new "understanding" on the generation confusion.
it is now the annointed that will not pass away.. has anyone else heard this?

That is the next logical change in doctrine after this latest generation change. First, they dropped the cut-off date of 1935 for the choosing of the 'annointed." Next, they changed the understanding of the generation who will see the end to the "annointed." All that is left is to drop the literal number idea and make it symbolic.
i keep reading these threads about exposing the wts and sending letters to individual jws.
how many of these efforts have actually worked?
i've read books written by xjws and watched videos produced by them, but only after becoming one.
I have always thought that just leaving them alone and letting them wonder why you left is good because it makes them think.
As far as family goes, I agree with OTWO that a well placed thought or piece of info over time can be most beneficial.

with all of the loss that we are experiencing, i wanted to chose a different musical topic today.
what albums do you find highly addicting, in spite of being about very depressing subject matter.
mine is by lou reed called "magic and loss.
When I want to ride out a meloncholy mood, I usually put on Jackson Browne. Specific song, "For A Dancer." But there are a lot of songs that help me out.
Music is one of the best ways for me to get my emotions out as I tend to keep things bottled up inside until I run out of space.
Moody Blues are nice too.
it seems alot of members here live in the burbs or city so i was wondering who else besides me lives on acreage or rural areas?
i live on eight acres at the base of the cascade foothills.
a half mile away the power lines stop and the old logging roads start.
We live in town, but I would love to move out to the country. Just have to convince the husband. Not so easy. Your place sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

Sounds like you did a good job talking with your wife. It's a winding road because you never know how much to let out and it's difficult to have a normal, open conversation.
Of course, women can and shoud teach in religious settings. Even the dubs allow it as a skit. the majority of those teaching are children are women.
hi,i have just registered here because i need someone to talk to in a way that wont end me up before a jc.i have been reading a lot of stuff recently about the wts being false prophets and the like.i also hate the fact that there are so called "spiritual" men out there who abuse their positions to molest children.i have been a witness now for 20yrs but instead of feeling spiritually alive i feel totally and utterly confused.i do not know which way to turn.anyone out there who feels the same ?
share your thoughts with me ..please and help me unburden myself to someone.

I think we have all felt that way and still do at times. If you can post a little more about what concerns you, maybe someone can be of more help.
If not, just read and I am sure you will find a lot of your concerns have been addressed at some time.
